I’m Coming Out
August 19, 2008
I’m Coming Out Infinite mea culpas for the feather light blogging lately. I’ve been super busy at work. And what little time I have left over is being used studying how to play craps. I’m going to Vegas in October, and I’ve only made one pass line bet in my entire life (which I lost in a matter of seconds, causing me to go back to the blackjack table where I could lose my money in a less efficient fashion). But I really REALLY want to play craps while I’m there because a) the Indian casinos

Pre Rick Warren Forum Question

Pre Rick Warren Forum Question Posted by Jonathan Williams on Aug 16th, 2008 2008 Aug 16 As I stated in my previous post, Obama and McCain will be attending a forum at Rick Warren’s church. Recently, Obama has been getting some heat about his “Born Alive” vote in the Illinois. This got me curious about what his stance on the abortion. The funny thing is, he doesn’t even take a stance on it on his website (unless I totally missed it). - Now this isn’t a major issue in this election but

What’s your phone and how much did you get it for?
August 19, 2008
Someone once told me that in order to determine if a person is a potential iPhone 3G buyer, you’ll have to check what phone they’re currently using and how much did they get it for. That way, you’ll have an idea if they are predisposed to buy such high-end phones. Though I know it makes sense, I’d like to test that theory here. Before the time of Apple’s iPhone, there were several high-end phones that were as or more expensive. Let’s look at some of them: Nokia 8800 - Php48,000 Palm Treo 750

Seniors Retire on Cruise Ships
August 19, 2008
It’s no surprise that seniors love to cruise. What better way to relax and enjoy the ocean and exotic ports of call than on a cruise? While seniors tend to travel extensively once they retire, a new trend in senior retirement has emerged. Today, seniors retire on cruise ships more than any other time in history. And what’s even more appealing about retiring on cruise ships today is that seniors can actually purchase their very own apartments at sea! The opportunities to enjoy life at sea are

August 19, 2008
On Thursday a good friend and fellow Toastmaster named Ron Lewison was in a serious car accident. He was rushed to the hospital, but his injuries were too severe, including a broken pelvis and a punctured lung. Shortly after his family arrived, he passed away. He was 69 years old and is survived by his wife of 47 years and his children and grandchildren. On Sunday Erin and I attended Ron’s memorial service followed by a reception attended by his family, friends, and many other Las Vegas Toastm

REVIEW: Risky Games by Olga Bicos
August 19, 2008
There are so few well written, no - smartly written romantic suspense novels today. I’d be hard pressed to list you ten. I don’t mean to be dismissive but romantic suspense is my least favorite genre because they are almost always unoriginal with characters who do not speak or act to their stated potentials. Reading Olga Bicos was by chance. I hadn’t heard much about her on reader message boards. However, I struck gold with Risky Games (1997) and here is the brief back blurb for you: Risky Ga
