Casino King Takes Gamble To Fend Off Macau Rivals - WSJ

Macau gambling magnate Stanley Ho is betting a new casino and a public offering will help put the company on the offensive as it faces Las Vegas operators. The 86-year-old pushed through an IPO for the company he controls, SJM Holdings Ltd., raising $494 million despite stock-market jitters. SJM shares closed at HK$2.69 Friday, down 13%.
